Our time in Arizona***

Wow, I haven't updated my blog in so long I am not even sure where to start :) We are here in Arizona and learning SO much as a couple. God always seems to amaze me. Just when you think you have it "all figured out" he puts you through another test or trial. Adjusting out here has been more difficult for me than I thought (being pregnant and all). We have had to put our trust in God to provide and know he is showing himself to us daily. I miss family ALOT... But we are enjoying this time we have here together alone.... It's nice for us to be "us" without roommates, teammates, etc.

We have had 2 doctor visits since we have been out here! Our Dr.'s name is Dr. Damien Jeremy Bass. We are very pleased with him and expect him to be the one to deliver baby Jace! YES, ITS A BOY!!! We were so excited to find out we are having a little boy! So far Dr. Bass says everything looks normal and healthy! We got to see Jace on an ultrasound and he seems to have his daddy's feet!! lol... Couldn't be more happier about Jace Allen Hefner!

Jeremy has been working out at a facility called Athletes Performance. It's truly been a blessing for him to be able to go there and grow (physically and mentally). A special thank you to Kelli (Jeremy's agent) for setting him up with that opportunity! God is good!! I can't wait to see what this next year holds for his career. I'm such a proud wife!

We have found a wonderful church here to attend! Its called Christ's Church of the Valley. You should go check out their website if you get time... www.ccvonline.com. We have only been a couple of times and have already fallen in love with it. You know how usually one thing in a church stands out? Say the worship? speaker/pastor? church family? sunday school? Usually there is one thing that really ties you to that church... well, we really love ALL of it so far :) I am so thankful that no matter where we are traveling God has provided a church for us to attend where we can grow.

I feel like this post is pretty random but there has been so much change lately going on in our lives! I will try to keep up better!

First Doctor vist & finishing up the season!

We had our VERY FIRST doctor visit on the 19th! We got to have an ultrasound done & see the baby! It looked like a little peanut but since then has grown its hands, feet, and developed its eyes! Our due date is March 28, 2010! Our God is so AMAZING! He continues to blow my mind everyday... Jeremy's parents got us a pregnancy journal & it tells you what is developing each day. We have been making a point to read it together each night & each time we do I wonder how people do not believe in God? Especially after having a baby! I know this is only the beginning & God has so many more plans for our journey!

Jeremy left today for a 7 day trip! I was sad he is going to be gone so long BUT glad to have the house to myself to clean up before we start packing! This means the season is almost over & the off-season will begin! I am anxious to start our time in Arizona! Each day I am learning to become more & more patient with God. His timing is always better than ours! I have been reading the verse from Jeremiah 29... Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God has big plans for ALL of us!

Both Family Visits!

It has been a GREAT week this past week! We had my parents come into town for a few days then the following Thursday Jeremy's parents flew in! We are so fortunate to have parents that support us 100%!

While my parents & little sister Brooke were here we got to get alot in during the weekend! They drove here and got in late afternoon on Saturday. Mark got to watch Jeremy pitch professionally for the FIRST time :) He was thrilled! Sunday we went down to San Diego to the beach and did some shopping! Monday was Jeremys day off so we all played golf, took naps, then went to the Padres game in San Diego. It was great for my parents to see what our life is like out here. It's such a different pace. They drove back starting on Tuesday and made it home on Thursday night. They must really love us to drive all that way!!!! :)

The next Thursday night I got to go pick up Jeremy's parents! Scott & Darla :) They were so glad to finally get here after having a delay in Dallas! Friday night Jeremy pitched at home! (btw- he has been doing fantastic!) I was so happy Scott & Darla got to meet the host parents & see all the support we have here. We are blessed to be apart of the Storm family! We mainly relaxed while they were here which was nice! They are usually always so busy I think they enjoyed coming out here and not having a schedule for a few days. Plus, I have been needing my naps lately so I don't know how entertaining I would be! ha! On Jeremys off day THIS Monday we went up to San Diego. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory (yum!), showed them Petco Park, and walked along the coast before taking them to the airport!

Even though our parents didn't get to stay long we truly enjoyed the time we had with both of them. It's always nice to be able to hug them in person! The season is coming to an end so we will get to go home soon but glad they got to see our life out here before it was over!!

New to Blogging!

After 5 months of  traveling Jeremys baseball career I decided that blogging would be a good way for everyone to keep up with where we are and whats going on! I love that technology allows us to share, keep in touch, and bless one another! We are currently in Southern California! We live in a community called Menifee, California that is only 15 minutes from the baseball field in Lake Elsinore! It's located on the map about 1hr northeast of San Diego! At the end of September the season will be over and we will relocate to Glendale, Arizona for the off season months (Oct-March) Boy has it been a great past 6 months being married! We have come so far!!! God is so good! We married on Feb 7, 2009 and JUST FOUND OUT last week that we will be having a baby sometime in March 2010!  I am SO thankful I get to work from home with a company called Arbonne! It will allow me to be the best mom that I can by being home with our baby & not feel like I am not contributing to our future financially! We couldn't be more excited! Be praying for us throughout these next 9 months! I will be posting new things often! So glad to be able to share whats going on in our lives :) Blessings!
